Fill Tube
The system needs a method of filling the system up and bleeding off air bubbles.
The best method is a T-Piece at the highest point of the system, with a short
length of hose attached it.
The T-Peice should be the highest point of the system. This means that air
in the system will find its own way out, and also makes filling easier.
The fill/bleed line needs to be on the suction side of the pump. The resistance
of the hose going to the pump is less than the atmospheric pressure pushing
on the water in the top of the fill hose. This means that water will be sucked
down the fill hose, and you will be able to top up the system whilst it is running.
This design is very portable. I took my Water Cooled PC 400 miles on the train
to the i17 LAN Party and back again. I did not have to empty the system; I just
covered the fill line with a piece of sellotape and it did not leak a single drop.
I was able to just turn the system on, and it finished bleeding in a matter
of seconds.
