On paper, this 19" monitor from Sharp is edging towards a being high end model, except for the lack of DVI input. The 500:1 contrast ratio is good, but the things that set this monitor apart from the rest are the low response time of only 16ms, and the price tag of £307.

The monitor comes with a thick manual, which is very useful even though only a few pages are in English, and it gives a comprehensive guide to setting up the screen with the OSD.

The viewing angle is anything but remarkable, with the contrast changing noticeably at an angle of any more than 30 degrees , but the real strength of the Sharp LL-191AB is as a budget gaming monitor. It scales to 1024x768 and 800x600 well enough for gaming, and the low response time makes it perfectly suitable for twitch FPS gaming. As a bonus, 19" of viewable screen really does enhance the experience. LAN party goers will be pleased to know it weighs only 7.8kg, and the clean minimalist styling and thin bezel are just asking to be shown off.
