And here is a brief look at the circuitry. We won't go into too much detail here as we will show more of this in an up-coming modding article.

Above is quite possibly the most annoying fan in the world. It's 20mm pushing very little air yet makes this horribly whiny noise. If you have a bit of time on your hands, cut a slightly larger hole and put a 60mm fan in there. Becuase of this, I usually keep the drive switched off unless I'm using it. Perhaps this is Plextor's attempt at getting us to cut down on our power consumption :P
