When I requested this product, I knew I was getting something a little more
than a standard optical mouse. Gyration boast it is the "worlds only motion
sensing in-air mouse". I assume this is true, as I have not seen a product
identical to this before. You will find out more about these extra abilities
later...
So, it comes in a pretty box. Not a big thing for most people,
but good point of sale advertising. No, we are interested in what is inside
the box.
This is the mouse inside it's cradle. It comes with a DC adapter which
plugs into the cradle for charging.
It has a NiMH battery unit which won't suffer from the "memory effect".
It will last up to 5 days, but I used to put the mouse back in it's cradle
before I went to bed and I never worried about battery problems. So there
is no need to continually purchase AA batteries (the costs add up!). They
do an accessory battery pack which takes 3 AA batteries - this could be
useful if you urgently need the mouse and have forgotten to charge it.
