Anti-Aliasing Benchmarks
Here are the average frames per second for the 3dmark 2003 game tests, run
with no antialiasing, then 2x and 4x levels of Anti-Aliasing.
The difference figure is created from the average FPS of all the game tests
and shows the performance difference between each type of Anti-Aliasing, compared
with no Anti-Aliasing. All tests were still done at 1024x768.
The tests are:
- Game Test 1: Wings of Fury
- Game Test 2: Battle of Proxycon
- Game Test 3: Trolls Lair
- Game Test 4: Mother Nature

Note that 6x was not supported on any of these cards. Once again, results are
pretty much dead in the middle of the two.
Grand Theft Auto Vice City
GTA4 may not be the most strenuous game for your hardware, but it is a title
that even casual gamers love. These figures are the average frame rates of the
first cut scene at the start of the game.
Fraps was used for the
measurements.
All tests are run in 32bit colour, with the draw distance set to maximum.

Performance in this test was actually weighted more in the direction of the
5600 than the 5200 with very little difference in performance.
Serious Sam the Second Encounter
Serious Sam supports both DirectX and OpenGL, giving a convenient opportunity
to compare the cards on real world OpenGL performance. These are the results
for the "little trouble" demo. The results were recorded with Fraps.
All tests were run with 32bit colour and default detail levels.

On this occasions, DirectX performance is very close across all boards, but
the 5600 takes an obvious lead with OpenGL.
