Benchmark Results and Comparisons

The difference column shows the difference between the 3.2 GHz score and the 1.6 GHz score, as a percentage, giving you some idea what the performance penalty is like for running each card on a slower system.

The Quick Comparison column shows the relative performance of each card, at 3.2 Ghz, with the fastest card being shown as 100%, and the rest as a percentage of that score.

The Combined Quick Comparison is the average of all three percentages, giving a comparison that encompasses both DirectX 8.1 and DirectX 9.0 scores.

For some reason, the 5500 GPU seemed to show more a difference in performance going from 1.6 to 3.2ghz in 3dMark 2001, while AquaMark being less CPU dependent, showed very little variation. As expected performance is almost exactly in between the 5600 and 5200 chipsets.
